G-Unit leader 50 Cent may be starting to feel the effects of being accused of domestic violence as he has been removed from next week's Major League Baseball All-Star Bash in New York City.
According to reports, Fif will no longer perform in the Big Apple on Sunday (July 14).
Put away the bottles of bub … 50 Cent has just been dropped from MLB.com’s upcoming All-Star Bash in NYC in the wake of his domestic violence scandal, TMZ has learned. TMZ broke the story … 50 was charged with domestic violence last week following the alleged domestic dispute at his baby mama’s house in California in June, during which he allegedly kicked her and destroyed a bunch of her property (more than $7,000 worth). 50 was supposed to perform at the MLB.com party on July 14th along with Kaskade, but sources tell TMZ, MLB officials decided not to move forward with the alleged GF-kicker. 50’s name appeared on the original flyer for the event … but the event’s Facebook page is now updated, and advertises 2 “surprise performances” for the party. Filipino model Daphne Joy is reportedly the woman pressing charges against Fif.
Daphne Joy, who was born in the Philippines, has a baby by the rapper and is now focusing on safety for the child and herself, said Jim Yeager, a spokesman for the Los Angeles law firm of Meyer, Olson, Lowy & Meyers, which is representing her. The alleged victim, whose name wasn’t earlier disclosed by authorities, released her name Friday through Yeager. “Daphne Joy and Curtis Jackson have been together for a few years in an exclusive relationship,” said a statement by the law firm. “They had a child and now Daphne’s number one priority is to ensure both her and the baby’s safety during this difficult time. We also hope everyone will respect her and the baby’s privacy.” (CNN)
Rather than stay mum, Fif has used his Instagram page to milk the press he has received over the past few days.

While 50 is out of the festivities, fellow New York rapper Nas is scheduled to be in town next week.
Nas is scheduled to perform during the 2013 MLB All-Star Weekend. The homecoming concert will take place on July 19th at Citi Field. Nas will be the headliner for the Summer Postgame Concert Series after the Mets take on the Phillies. (Complex)
