In Fif’s opinion, Bieber still has growing up to do and is not the racist certain media outlets have painted him out to be.

“I don’t think [Justin] is racist,” he told The Sun. “I don’t think he even knows who he is at this point – he’s so young. When you see people become huge stars real early, it’s tough for them.” Rapper 50 Cent added: “I think Justin’s still a baby and he’s lost.” (OK!)

Young Money executive Mack Maine came forward and defended the Biebs earlier this week.

Young Money Prez Mack Maine tells TMZ … everyone on the label has interacted with Bieber extensively and there has not been a hint of racism on Justin’s part. Mack Maine says the majority of Justin’s crew is black, and “Bieber does not have a slave mentality. He treats his people with respect.” Mack Maine says Justin has “legitimately adopted the culture of the hip hop, African American culture.” (TMZ)

Maine also admitted he had made racist and offensive jokes as a kid.

And Mack Maine says everyone in the Young Money camp believes Bieber’s age at the time he recorded the song is highly relevant. Mack Maine confessed, “I remember telling a white man, Chinese man, Black man joke as a kid that was terrible and I told it to my friends because I thought they’d think it was funny.” Mack Maine says that joke was as offensive as Bieber’s, and the difference is simply he didn’t get caught. For all these reasons, Mack Maine says Young Money will continue to work with Bieber. (TMZ)

In a public statement, J. Biebs blamed ignorance and his youth for making the now-infamous racist comments Sunday (June 1).

“As a kid, I didn’t understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt. I thought it was ok to repeat hurtful words and jokse, but didn’t realize at the time that it wasn’t funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance. Thanks to friends and family I learned from my mistakes and grew up and apologized for those wrongs. Now that these mistakes from the past have become public I need to apologize again to all those I have offended. I’m very sorry. I take my friendships with people of all cultures very seriously and I apologize for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable mistake.” (Justin Bieber’s Twitter)
