G-Unit head 50 Cent has shared his thoughts on the tensions going on between Young Money’s Drake and rap rival Meek Mill over ghostwriting accusations this week.

Fif said the issue may be deeper than the Drizzy ghostwriting debate.

“I think it’s really a Nicki [Minaj] and Drake thing going on. I don’t [care about ghostwriting] – if I care, then you can’t ever listen to Puffy again. … If you’re going to penalize Drake, you gotta penalize everybody. I wrote everything. One time I took a line, straight to the bank – I would think that he would be conscious of Nicki before he would just say something, when he knows Nicki and Drake have a relationship. They’re down with each other. They’re in the same crew. Even if you just heard it randomly you would be talking to her before you say something publicly about it. Obviously she shares the same views, because she hasn’t really responded to it publicly.” (St. Louis’ 104.1)

Last night (July 30), Meek released his hard-hitting “Wanna Know” Drake diss song.

“If you ain’t write that runnin’ through the six sh*t,” Meek raps. “Tell us who the f*ck was Quentin [Miller] running through the six with … Did he write it for you ’cause you know you never did sh*t – we the type of n*ggas tie your mother up/F*ck your sister in the a** and hit your brother up/You really sweet, I call you buttercup – You should have just said nothing, now you’re going to have to give me a check to stop – All I hear is platinum that, platinum this, meanwhile I’m on the carpet with a platinum chick. … Puffy almost caught a domestic when he slapped that b*tch. … You let Tip homie piss on you in the movie theater, n*gga, we ain’t forget. [laughs] This sh*t is lit, this that Ja Rule sh*t and 50 Cent.” (“Wanna Know”)

This week, former Diddy ghostwriter Sauce Money came to Drake’s defense in light of the feuding.

“I think back in the days it would have been [a knock to have a ghostwriter.] I think back in the days emcees had more responsibilities to write they own sh*t – it’s not important right now. … Me, personally, you couldn’t really call yourself an emcee. Take for example with [music mogul Diddy]. Puff doesn’t call himself an emcee…I don’t think n*ggas was penning [Drake’s] bars like that. I think where we get it confused is we got people in the studio around that’s talented just like we are. So, we feed off of each other. So, a nigga might come up with a hook. A n*gga might finish a line for you. We’ve all done it. So, I think Drake is one of the best emcees in the game. … At the end of the day, you can’t discredit good music. Whether they write they sh*t or not, it’s good music. Me personally, I don’t have a problem.” (Doggie Diamonds)

Former Diddy protégé Shyne promoted Drizzy’s new Meek Mill diss track “Charged Up” and defended the Canadian hip-hop star a couple nights ago.

  1. Drake making the whole game look fake…..shit all these rappers might be using ghost…except a few

      • True….however everyone thought he was intelligent enough and talented enough to be doing it all….. the rapping and writing ..so for him to have a ghost writer is a bit of a shock to many

        • Not really a ghost writter when he is not hiding it. Maybe the Rico track but thats it. Other than that drake still one of the best rappers and song writers in this generation. With Kanye or Drake this generation would be screwed.

          • He used 4 lines from the rico track. Part of the verse for ten bands and everything else was hooks and bridges. That’s a cowriter. You don’t add on your own lines if it’s a ghostwriter.

    • But meek being signed by the fakest rapper alive rick ross is okay for the game??? You dont see meek mill calling out rick ross, ross whole personality is fake and meek still collaborates with him.

  2. What’s 50’s deal with Puff? He’s clearly obsessed over the man. He brings Puffy’s name up in every interview. Now that makes me think that 50 is insecure about something,

    • Puff cool with jimmy iovine now. The let fif go and started messing with puff. To slow puff up is to mess with jimmy money. Diddy be in the building fif thought he owned.

        • Maybe. Fif still salty over a 5 year old deal? Not to mention Diddy rock with Ross hard. He goes on air saying he runs New York. He’s a cash cow in the industry after 20 years. These are all facts including Diddy being signed to Interscope. Gossip? (Kanye shrug) Regardless what it is he looks like K. Michelle in the Idris Elba situation. Speaking on dude but dude never mentions you. Even when things look bad for you, he don’t take the bait. Kurtis Michelle? Lol for real

          • well, its what he said during the jay/beanie bullshit. that jay and puff wasnt trying to see him win. puff wanted two million for ma$e. plus they both sell vodka now.

          • You dumb ass people believe this bullshit. He stated on a breakfast club interview all this shit is to get a reaction. He said he doesn’t give a fuck what people say about him. All this shit is wwe

          • Is it dumb to believe facts? A reaction? Isn’t that why scorned and/or thirsty women act out and say wild things? A reaction? If there was nothing there between him and Puff then he could say wild things about every rapper. He don’t though. He been on Puff hard body for about a year now. Puff don’t see dude though. He only responds by getting richer. What a reaction huh? Lol

        • Ignore/report Beverly Scro!

          ‘Beverly’s spams have been reported
to Disqus for multiple spamming violations. Her account won’t be closed
for a few days though so please be aware that the site referenced by her
is a scam operation based in India/Pakistan where it
          does 63.1% of
its swindling. Don’t want to take my word for it? Good for you!!! Check
the facts by researching the site she is scamming you with – google
analytics etc will do the job,,

  3. If drake weren’t a Jew I’m sure the entire game be gunning for his head..MFs scared to get black balled by the homo Jews who’s running the industry
Let it had been any artist other than drake to have all these reference tracks
Bet he would never be able to rap again
Meek should actually be applauded for not being shook and conforming
But it’s a backwards ass world we live in now

    • He is not accepted by Jews just like Puerto Ricans don’t accept Fat Joe and just like Palestinian’s don’t accept DJ Khaled. Diddy slapped Drake and got away with it. Where I’m from if you slap a Jew that would be considered as a terrorist attack.
OT: 50 is right tho. Strange Nicki don’t respond to it.

    • I don’t know. It’s not like he’s a white jewish guy. He still got that black blood in him so I don’t think he’s fully accepted.

  4. Yall young cats gotta understand that being a real street ninja has nothing to do with hip hop. Today’s fans and artists are confused as hell. How does your material line up to mine, that’s what it’s about. Every rapper has writer’s, even Jay-z, ask sauce money. Look on the song credits for artists, there’s always multiple contributors.

  5. Lets check this whole thing from the music and even the movie perspective.

Who get the most credit when you hear a song? Producer, “writer”, the beat maker or the singer?

Who get the most credit when you go to the movie theater to watch a movie? Producer (the whole production team) or the movie s

When there is an award show etc who get the most recognition? So are we here talking about everything in the world being fake?? Let Meek interpret a song written by that cat Q to see if it is going to have the same impact worldwide as Drake.

So, it doesn’t matter who writes the song as it doesn’t matter who goes to the war… singer get the credit as generals do.

PS: Not choosing sides but Meek sounded more fake to me than the dude dude he says doesn’t write his stuff

    OUT!

  6. “hard hitting”, lol, wanna know was not hard hitting… besides, the “runnin through the 6” line was already a week old at that point, niggas were saying that on twitter way before he finally dropped that weak shit.
