G-Unit head 50 Cent is doing nothing to lessen any potential disses shot his way from rap rivals after revealing his financial woes during a publicized sex tape trial in court this week.

During his court appearance, Fif denied living the lavish life he promotes on social media.

Taking the witness stand in Manhattan Supreme Court, the rapper said his claims about having a fleet of luxury cars on both coasts, loads of bling, and even making a $1.6 million bet on boxer Floyd Mayweather are all bogus. “It’s entertainment,” he said of the lifestyle he portrays in his videos and on social media. A U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge ruled last Friday (July 17) for his sex tape case with victim Lastonia Leviston to continue despite Fif publicly filing for bankruptcy earlier in the week.

Friday’s hearing before U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Ann M. Nevins in Hartford was at the request of Leviston’s lawyers, who wanted the punitive damages portion of the civil trial to continue. The jury that heard the sex-tape case will now consider punitive damages Monday. (Hartford Courant)

Last week, Leviston filed a motion to request a bankruptcy court in Connecticut for relief to avoid an automatic stay, which would have delayed her big payday from 50.

The motion accuses the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, of filing for Chapter 11 protection to evade testifying earlier in the day in the New York civil case, where a jury was to consider punitive damages. That jury ruled Friday that Jackson must pay Leviston after releasing without her permission a sexually explicit video she made with her boyfriend. (AP)

Fif lost his publicized x-rated case with Leviston earlier this month.

The jurors — 4 women, 2 men — deliberated for just over an hour before awarding Lavonia Leviston $2.5 million in damages for using her image without her permission … and another $2.5 mil for intentional infliction of emotional distress. Leviston’s lawyers argued that the rapper had leaked the tape online as a ploy for publicity, and to diss Ricky Rozay. Fifty never showed up during the trial or even for the verdict. Next week, the jury will decide on punitive damages … so Fifty’s tab could go way up. (TMZ)
