G-Unit leader 50 Cent recently reacted to widespread news of music mogul Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports launching into the boxing world.
In Fif’s opinion, the experience could easily mold Jay into another businessman.
“I think they gonna clean Jay up,” 50 said in an interview. “The sport of boxing is going to clean him up and he’s going to find out it’s not like any other portion of business that he’s been involved in.” (BET)

Curtis Jackson also talked about the idea of money being able to secure success.
“You can’t just buy your way into it by purchasing existing companies and stuff like that. You look at the roster of fighters…you have to have experienced people around to run it. But boxing is like the fur coat business…we don’t know how much they actually sold the jacket for.” (BET)
According to reports, Roc Nation and Fox Sports 1 have a few fights slated to kick-off next month courtesy of a new partnership.
Roc Nation Sports, which announced its first Boxing division in August, will present its debut boxing event, “throne boxing,” on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015. The event, designed to be a hybrid of boxing and live music, will be telecast live from Madison Square Garden in the first of a three-event deal with Fox Sports 1, with dates and venues for two future bouts to be confirmed at a later date. A Roc Nation Sports executive provided some details on the power move Tuesday (December 9).
“All of us at Roc Nation Sports are thrilled to announce our first boxing event along with our first series and television deal,” said David Itskowitch, the chief operating officer of Roc Nation Sports’ boxing division. “An evening of exciting fights, great music and fantastic entertainment will be a fitting way to kick off Throne Boxing, a series that will stand alone on the boxing landscape.” (Statement)

He not hating they already freezing Roc Nation out of major boxing events even tho they bid higher to be the promoter. Thats why they throwing their own with performances to hype up the weak ass boxers in it. That sounds a lot like what the Football & Bball people said. But everyday they are being proven wrong. Look it up he has people with major pull in boxing working for him already. He has already jumped in and is at a level much higher than Fif. Their looking becoming major player in cities with deep boxing roots around the country and then jump into Vegas.
50 cent is telling the truth though… It’s a very tightly ran ship. And they don’t care how much money you have, it’s all about respect and experience in the Boxing World. It’s alot of politics just to get your fighter in the ring.
So how 50 get in? Jay has a veteran from the boxing world on his team and that’s how he was able to expand into boxing
