New York rapper 50 Cent is convinced Conor McGregor doesn’t want his fists. The hip-hop executive has weighed-in on the possibility of facing off against the Notorious MMA fighter in a street face-off.
In a new interview, Curtis Jackson talked about McGregor not seeing him outside of the octagon.
Right now, when he’s at 154 pounds?” 50 asked in response to a journalist’s question during a media conference call to promote his latest film, Den of Thieves. “I’m 225 right now! They don’t understand this is heavyweight [expletive] going on around here. I hit them, they see a white light. They hear a message. Slow down, boy. They think Jesus is talking to them.” He added: “Outside the confinements of the sport. If you got into a [street] fight, it’s a different thing.” (Express UK)
This week, 50’s longtime pal and boxing icon Floyd Mayweather Jr. trolled McGregor on Instagram.
Earlier this month, Conor had no problem going at Floyd on his Instagram page.
Last month, speculation developed about Mayweather possibly suiting up to fight in the UFC.
UFC and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are discussing a deal that would bring the undefeated boxer into mixed martial arts, according to UFC president Dana White. “We’re talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal,” White told ESPN. “It’s real. He was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren’t real? He usually tips his hand when he’s in the media, and then that s— ends up happening. (ESPN)
