New York rapper 50 Cent recently updated fans on the status of his long-awaited Street King Immortal and explained why it will suffer a slight delay.
According to 50, an emphasis on releasing G-Unit’s next group project has delayed SKI.
50 has already pushed back the release of his next solo album Street King Immortal to 2015 to put out the next G-Unit EP, The Beast Is G-Unit, later this year. (“I didn’t want to lose the momentum connected with everyone being back together.”) The crew has recorded 38 songs, six of which will be released for Beast. (Rolling Stone)
50 Cent reveals what regrets he has about the G-Unit brand…
The Unit head also talked about what he would have done differently with his crew.
“I wouldn’t have built something that required me as their center,” he says. “I would’ve built it so it functions on its own. When you look at it, they’ve sold millions of records on their own. If they weren’t so strongly associated [with G-Unit], they’d probably have crews under them. They didn’t really have an interest in doing that because they [already] had a strong association and had so much fun in the position they were in at that point.” (Rolling Stone)
Group member Lloyd Banks recently jumped onto social media to support their “Changes” music video.
That love is dangerous, fog up ya aim it's..a million ways to hit them cages #changes http://t.co/NMhWu9AqMs

According to reports, the group’s upcoming The Beast Is G-Unit project will arrive as late as December.
During their lengthy 45-minute chat, the trio talked about several different topics, but it was the announcement about their next EP getting pushed back that caught our attention. Right around the 4 minute mark, Yayo revealed that The Beast Is G-Unit will now look to get released in late November, early December. (HNHH)

I like 50 so I am not hating, but he isn’t delaying his album solely to help the crew. He is trying to build up a buzz for the crew which then creates more buzz for his solo album. Smart move!
Exactly we all use each other. Its business
yea i can agree with that. I fucks with fif heavy. slim a smart motherfucker and all his music be on point. He trying to rebuild the unit using a similar format to what he did before. The countless radio interveiws and freestyles on air. mixtapes and remixes. Only diffrence between then and now is he independant. And if he can even get it to a quater of what he had before that nigga gonna slaughter the game.

More buzz???? Nigga please. He saw animal ambition numbers and realised NOBODY’S checkin for him. i know he ain’t trying to take 2 L’s back to back as he won’t be able to justify another brick and say “its independent”. Anyone with half a brain would have seen this comin! These weak numbers are puttin him in a space where he can’t compete, he needs to can the actual project.

This article should say..” 50 cents pushes back Street King Immortal because he knows it will flop”.
