Rapper-turned-mogul 50 Cent has been honored in an extraordinary way. Recently, he was given the key to the city of Houston.
In a video shared on 50’s Twitter, the G-UNIT founder was honored during the city’s Thanksgiving parade. Before the holiday, 50 and other rappers helped those in need by giving away free turkeys to families in the community.
While receiving the special key from Houston mayor Sylvestor Turner, 50 Cent thanked the city for welcoming him.
“Since I’ve made my way out here, Houstonians have embraced me with open arms,” 50 Cent said to the Houston crowd.
The TV mogul has been busy giving back to Houston by hosting Tycoon Weekend, featuring music, comedy, and more for his non-profit organization, G-Unit. In addition, after Hurricane Harvey hit the city, 50 also helped many while bringing awareness to those in need.
