New York rap star 50 Cent has confirmed growing buzz and speculation about plans to reunite his G-Unit crew for a follow-up to 2008’s Terminate on Sight album. #TheBoysAreBack

Although brief with his words, Fif put a fall deadline on a G-Unit reunion album.

“Yes, you’ll see an album by late November,” Fif revealed in a televised interview. (Fox 29)

The Unit jumped onto Young Money stud Drake’s new “0 to 100” anthem with their latest record this week.

Just days after surprising the world with their reunion at Hot 97?s Summer Jam concert, G-Unit have become the first group in rap to hop on Drake’s “0 To 100” and make it their own. “Real Quick” borrows what I would call the ‘title bars’ from Drake’s latest viral hit for a five minute reintroduction to one of the mid-2000s greatest collectives. It’s got solid verses across the board, and its structure is one I am sure many emcees will borrow in the months ahead. (Under The Gun Review)

The Unit and 50 protégé Kidd Kidd‘s new “Nah, I’m Talkin ‘Bout” premiered online Monday (June 2).

Da Unit is back. A day after reuniting onstage at Summer Jam, all four members of G-Unit come together on their first song in six years. 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, and Tony Yayo put aside their differences and get back to business on “Nah I’m Talking ‘Bout,” a remix to Hit-Boy and HS87’s “Grindin’ My Whole Life,” which also features Kidd Kidd. Since reuniting at last weekend’s Hot 97 Summer Jam concert, the Unit’s Lloyd Banks and Young Buck have hinted at more music releases to come.

Last night, at the after-party for the screening of the new Starz series Power, executive produced by 50 Cent, XXL put that question to all four original members of G-Unit. “We got no dates, we working,” said Young Buck. “[We] in the studio. Stay tuned.” Banks added, “Work in progress. We just put out the new freestyle today. Check it out.” (XXL Mag)
