New York rapper 50 Cent is joining in on the Throwback Thursday fun. The hip-hop stud has hit up social media to share a vintage pic of himself.

Curtis Jackson went to Instagram Thursday with a teenage memory.

Back in mid-July, 50 updated fans on the status of his long-awaited Street King Immortal album.

“I have an album that I’ve been waiting to put out. JAY-Z just released a record recently. It was good I just said it was too smart. I think you do gotta dumb down the material to fit in what the culture’s producing. It’s a little more melody-driven and not as sophisticated as it was when I came in. I guess it’s a place for it like that. [Album release date?] It’ll be before the end of the year. It won’t be as smart as the JAY-Z record. I want to make music people have fun to.” (Access Hollywood Live)

Earlier in the year, the G-Unit boss reflected on the impact of his game-changing Get Rich or Die Tryin’ release.

In January, the hip-hop veteran promised to release new music in the near future.
