New York rapper 50 Cent really can’t get over how much craziness a simple hashtag has created. Curtis Jackson has returned to social media to acknowledge he’s sort of a big deal all courtesy of his signature “get the strap” line.
Over the past few hours, Fif has hit up Instagram to speak up on the over-the-top coverage.
Yesterday, Fif went to Instagram to try and simmer down speculation about his hashtag being considered an actual threat.
According to reports, an active police investigation has started all because of Fif using his now-signature catchphrase on a cop.
Rapper 50 Cent is being investigated by the NYPD over an Instagram post that appears to threaten a Brooklyn precinct boss accused of shaking down a hip-hop club, The Post has learned. “Get the strap,” Fitty told his 18.1 million followers on Wednesday. He was apparently referring to Deputy Inspector Emmanuel Gonzalez, head of the 72nd Precinct in Sunset Park, following stories about the police boss allegedly squeezing the owner of the Love & Lust club for gifts, including free round-trip tickets to Puerto Rico. Fif initially hopped on Instagram to address his headline-generating situation.
