According to reports, “Power” execs did not green light Fif’s plea to have Brown star in the must-watch TV series.
A source close to Brown told us, “50 promised Chris a big role on ‘Power,’ playing a drug dealer. But 50 didn’t consult the network first, and execs were not happy when they found out about it.” The source continued, “The network insisted that Chris’ casting was not going to happen, because of fears about his anger issues. There was a big blowup, and they had to tell Chris he was not going to get the role. The news was delivered to him early Monday. He was livid.” (Page Six)
Model Amber Rose recently revealed why she turned down an opportunity to star in 50’s hit series.
“Can I tell you a funny story about 50 Cent? He asked me to do ‘Power’ so I was like, ‘Let me get with my team, figure out my schedule.’ He was like, ‘You got 60 seconds to answer me or you don’t get the job.’ I said, ‘B*tch, who the f*ck do you think you’re talking to? What the f*ck is wrong with you?’ I’m not one of these convenient a** b*tches. I got a schedule and I got a three-year-old.” (“The Amber Rose Show”)
Last month, Dipset’s Cam’ron hooked up with Fif and gave “Power” a strong co-sign.
Back in June, Terror Squad’s Remy Ma revealed her interest in landing a role on Fif’s hit show.
This man @50cent is so special to me; I don't even think he knows how special he is to me. When I needed people's support the most he didn't run away & pretend to be too busy like a lot of others. He took out time to write & sign not 1 but 2 separate letters in the hopes of helping me win my appeals when I was incarcerated. He didn't have to do it but he did & I truly appreciate it…thank you 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 (now let's get ready 4 my role on POWER😜) #RemyMa #RemyMafia #AllTheWayUp
