New York rapper 50 Cent‘s G-Unit camp just lost a key member. The hip-hop veteran has announced the unexpected departure of longtime protégé Lloyd Banks.

After mounted speculation, Banks finally went to Instagram Friday to shut down the retirement buzz.

The same day, Lloyd hinted at possible plans to fall back from the hip-hop scene.
