Hollywood heavyweights Tyrese and Naomi Harris. Okay, now I have your attention, stay with me on this one. Black and Blue just dropped on Digital HD and Blu-ray and it's a can’t-miss thriller.
The cop genre has been getting top billing in the television world lately, but this one couldn’t be contained by the limits of network TV. Let’s get right into those 5 reasons to go through your electronic gadgets and get Black and Blue.
1. Naomi Harris: I am such a huge fan of Naomi Harris. Her versatility as an actress is phenomenal. From Moneypenny (Skyfall) to Paula (Moonlight) she captures the role and crushes them. She’s no different in this role of the rookie cop.
2. Tyrese Gibson: I mean, this dude is a draw all in his own. Tyrese gives one of his better performances as ‘Mouse.’ He lives up to his roles as the fast talking and fast thinking. His chemistry with Naomi Harris is great, and brings out some of his best work as an actor.
3. Rookie Cop: We have all seen the cop movies where the rookie cop is put in a situation and clearly in over their head as side characters. This one takes a different approach and the rookie cop is stuck in the middle of corruption and vengeance. Fresh take on the cops/robbers genre.
4. Special Features: Go behind the scenes in this one, and see how Naomi Harris and Tyrese prepare for a roller coaster of action and suspense. Tyrese legit looks like a fun person to work with after you check out what goes on behind the camera.
5. Not Your Typical Cop movie: The cop genre hasn’t had a real quality, entertaining film in a while. This one looks to break that trend. Given the chance, this one is entertaining as hell. Good action and suspense from the beginning.
