Rap heads infatuated with the unsolved murder of late music mogul Tupac Shakur and untold story of Notorious B.I.G. can finally rejoice. The A&E Network’s relaunching its epic “Biography” series and focusing on both hip-hop icons.
In late June, A&E will launch a highly-anticipated Christopher Wallace documentary followed by a miniseries on Tupac.
“Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G.”, the two-part, deeply personal documentary premiering on June 28, is a poignant portrayal of Biggie’s life with unprecedented access to his widow, Faith Evans, and never-before-heard recordings from the legend himself. Following on June 29, A&E will debut the six-part miniseries “Who Killed Tupac?” The series examines the investigation into the iconic rapper’s death by following famed civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump as he delves into various theories.
The upcoming 2Pac biopic All Eyez On Me will reportedly feature authentic clothing from both Shakur and B.I.G.
Sources close to production tell us … April Walker — who designed for Pac and Biggie in the ’90s — brought back some of her original wardrobe designs for filming the biopic. We’re told April had to remake 2 costumes for the biopic using patterns she saved from back in the day. One of them is the yellow Walker Wear vest Tupac rocked in “Above the Rim” — and the other is a tracksuit she custom made for Big. (TMZ)
In early May, a clip surfaced from the upcoming All Eyez On Me biopic.
