Atlanta rapper 21 Savage is hoping at least one key 2019 trend doesn't make its way into the new year. The hip-hop superstar went online this week to share his thoughts about 2020.
Last night, Sav hit up Twitter to ask people to fall back from enhancing their teeth over the next 12 months.
In November, a clip surfaced of Sav turning up to new music including a bar about his 2019 deportation drama.
In February 2019, Sav came forward to give his first Q&A since getting released from immigration detainment.
“I don’t even know [what happened]. I was just driving and I just seen guns and blue lights, and then I was in the back of a car and I was gone. They didn’t say nothing. They just said, ‘We got Savage.’ It was definitely targeted. …. I didn’t know what a visa was. I was seven when I first came here. I didn’t know what that meant as far as when I transferred into an adult, how that was going to affect my life. I wasn’t hiding it, but I didn’t wanna get deported, so I’m not gonna come out and be like, ‘Hey, by the way, I wasn’t born here.'” (“Good Morning America”)
Sav also explained his personal issues with the United States’ approach to immigration policies.
“I’ve been here 20 years, 19 years. This is all I know, you know what I’m saying? I don’t feel like you should be arrested and put in a place where a murderer would be for just being in the country for too long.” (“Good Morning America”)
