2 Chainz Reveals Donald Trump Tried To Holler At Him: “I Usually Just Leave A Lot Of S**t To Myself” [Video]

Def Jam’s 2 Chainz won’t be heading to the White House anytime soon. The hip-hop veteran has announced President-elect Donald Trump reached out to try and land him for an upcoming inauguration.

Despite having a chance to visit the White House and meet Trump in-person, Deuce said no amount of money could persuade him to perform at the event.

“So I usually just leave a lot of sh*t to myself but I wanted to go to the White House but never got invited. I see all them beautiful people everybody going to all these parties and I just wanna say what’s up to Barack. … So then Trump calls my management and I know they’re doing this because they can’t get nobody else and they want me to perform for the inauguration. I had to say nah, no matter how much money it was. I probably won’t be going to the White House no time soon. That’s why I was trying to go then.”

Last month, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane reacted to fellow hip-hop star Kanye West meeting Trump in-person.

“I just feel like with Kanye, he don’t need my approval or nobody else’s. so my opinion really ain’t going to matter. Everybody got an opinion—good or bad. Kanye don’t need nobody approval to live his life. If you don’t agree, then that’s cool you don’t agree. But that’s not going to stop him from doing what he do. He’s going to do whatever he’s going to do because that’s him.” (Complex)

A few days prior, R&B singer John Legend took aim at his G.O.O.D. Music boss for meeting with Donald Trump.

“I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to him about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt. I think Kanye was a publicity stunt. I’m pretty disappointed with Kanye that he says he would have voted for Trump. I think Trump has been corrosive, his message has been corrosive to the country and I think the things he’s promised to do have been very concerning for a lot of people and for Kanye to support that message is very disappointing.” (“Clique”)
