[With his new PRPS Jeans collaboration hitting select clothing outlets today (December 15), 2 Chainz recently spoke to SOHH and other media outlets about his new launch.]
My favorite pieces are all of them, obviously, [especially] the red ones. I’ve been partly wearing them here and there. I only have a couple pairs of each so I had to kind of spare them around and such.
The X’s are just great. Of course I love the red jeans. I just love the wash on the jeans and when you see the jackets and the shirts, you’ll see the concept behind the brand.
Once again, I appreciate the opportunity and [PRPS founder Donwan Harrell] having me here. It’s kind of like rap, I wouldn’t even listen to him if he didn’t have a hot deal.
I just watch sh*t right. You dig? He appreciated that and I appreciate him.
Whether I designed them or not, I would still reference the brand in my songs because I believe in reality rap. Sometimes I may say, “Garlic butter on my PRPS is due to lobster tails,” and things like that. That just happened.
