Def Jam rapper 2 Chainz doesn’t have to put out full-blown statements or go to his IG Live to address certain matters. The hip-hop veteran has relied on a simple Instagram pic to address this week’s wild Madden 19 and Colin Kaepernick censorship.
Deuce went to IG Saturday (August 4) with a powerful CK and “Big Bank” collaborator YG pic to address the NFL free agent’s name initially getting censored from the Madden 19 soundtrack.

Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy made sure to share the same epic moment on his IG page.

On Thursday, Madden 19 developer EA issued a statement explaining there was no malicious intent on Kaepernick’s “Big Bank” reference fading to black off the game’s soundtrack.
“We made an unfortunate mistake with our Madden NFL soundtrack,” EA said in a statement issued Thursday evening. “Members of our team misunderstood the fact that while we don’t have rights to include Colin Kaepernick in the game, this doesn’t affect soundtracks. We messed up, and the edit should never have happened. We will make it right, with an update to Madden NFL 19 on August 6 that will include the reference again. We meant no disrespect, and we apologize to Colin, to YG and Big Sean, to the NFL, to all of their fans and our players for this mistake.” (ESPN)
Prior to the apology, both “Big Bank” rappers YG and Big Sean spoke on the situation.
“I want my home Colin Kaepernick to know that I ain’t have nothing to do with that Madden sh*t. I ain’t approve that, Big Sean ain’t approve that, Nicki Minaj ain’t approve that, motherf*cking 2 Chainz ain’t approve that. We ain’t got nothing to do with that. I support you. I’ve been supporting you. EA Sports, NFL, whoever, y’all owe me, Big Sean, 2 Chainz and Nicki Minaj and the homie Kaepernick an apology. That’s what it is. 400. I’ll be looking for an apology soon.”

It’s disappointing and appalling @NFL & @EA took @Kaepernick7’s name out of my verse on Big Bank for Madden 19, like it was a curse word. When he's not a curse, he's a gift! Nobody from my team approved any of this.
