Former Bad Boy South rapper Yung Joc has addressed a recent diss shot his way courtesy of fellow Atlanta hip-hop artist Gucci Mane and his "F*ck the World" record.

Rather than fire disses back, Joc acknowledged the name-drop and applauded Gucci’s ability to stay relevant by using beef tactics.

“We ain’t got to throw hints, the homie Gucci, sounded like he dissed me, which he did, but guess what? Listen to the name of the song, ‘F the World,'” Joc said in an interview. “That’s what he on right now. You see he going in at everybody neck but whatever. One thing you got to give Gucci credit for, man, the guy is a master at getting his name in your mouth. … He’s learned how to do it, he’s done it several times — you gotta salute that, whether you like it or not. I ain’t tripping ’cause I know my financial status and situation. So it is what it is but I mean, you gotta love it.” (“The Loud Pack Show”)

He also dismantled the idea of Atlanta artists embracing hip-hop beefs and feuds.

“He went at Jeezy’s neck, he went at Tip’s neck, me personally, I ain’t, you know, I’ma keep it one thousand, all the way. Where I come from, when I see Atlanta, we ain’t come up on that. No disrespect — that’s how New York kinda got caught up in the mix that allowed us to take over because they were so busy beefing with each other. That ain’t what my city’s about. Anybody know Joc knows I’m a cool guy. It ain’t too many people who can say they’re beefing with me or beef with me.” (“The Loud Pack”)

Gucci’s Joc jab heated up the Internet late last week.

On his track, “F*ck The World”, off of his newly released Trap God mixtape, Gucci goes after Yung Joc in the second verse of the song. Gucci claims that Yung Joc, who was previously signed to Bad Boy South and had the hit song “It’s Going Down”, is broke as a joke. In the lyric Gucci also goes after Kenneth “Block” Russell, Jeezy’s ex-manager. “I got all eyes on me like Pac did/But I ain’t tryin’ to go broke like Joc did/I ain’t tryin’ to f**k my deal up like Block did.” Block previously had a deal with Bad Boy South that went belly up after the artists he signed didn’t produce up to Diddy’s standards. “King of the South” T.I. refused to get involved in the Gucci/Jeezy feud a few days ago.

“I got my mind set on a big sack with a lot of money in it,” T.I. said. “Anything not of that understanding and of that nature, I don’t really see it. So I don’t really know what you’re asking me about it. [He’s got a situation with him and Jeezy?] And I think you just ended it right there. You said it all. You know what I’m saying, I don’t know. A lot of times things happen in life and we never know why. The focus is what counts, man. I’m focused on that sack, champ. I’m focused on that sack. I’m trying to get myself right up there where Jay[-Z] and them are at.” (Hot 107.9)
