“You’ve Got To Have Huge Balls If You’re Snoop Dogg”

[Each week, SOHH asks two entertainment personalities to name their Top 5 rappers of all-time. To make things tricky, we’ve created a “Hall of Fame” of emcees (see right) who are universally respected and therefore may not be mentioned. After DJ Premier cut up his top picks, Maybach Music Group affiliate Avery Storm reveals his fave five.]

p-ugk.jpgPimp C. I’ve seen Pimp C do work and from that moment and moving on, I was just totally, in that regard, blessed.

p-rick-ross.jpgRick Ross. I’ve got to put Rick Ross in there. We made history togheter. We made magical records and just that in itself is a blessing and to see Ross grow the way he has, you saw the storm coming. He’s a businessnman first and foremost and he knows what he’s doing.

mmg.jpgMaybach Music Group. I really love what Meek Mill is doing. I love what Wale is doing. I’ve loved him from the gate. I mentioned them because they’re young, they’re hungry and I’ve loved the way Meek has approached this thing, lyrically and on the microphone with his delivery. I mess with Wale because he’s well thought out. You’ve got to be listening to him to really understand it. I can appreciate that in an artist. I respect that.

Busta RhymesBusta Rhymes. I’ve got to throw Busta Rhymes in there. It’s the longevity.

p-snoop-dogg.jpgSnoop Dogg. I’ve always been a fan of Snoop Dogg. His willingness to be an OG and to take some of the steps he’s taken, you’ve gotta have huge balls if you’re Snoop Dogg. He can do it. I can respect it.
