Details of how Baby managed to snag YT for the publication’s new cover shoot surfaced online Monday (May 12).

After the artist failed to show up for his cover shoot in NYC–twice–our best-laid plans seemed to be going awry. Then we received a call from the No. 1 Stunna himself, Bryan “Birdman” Williams. After offering his assurance that he was now helping Thug handle his business, the co-founder of Cash Money Records–whom Forbes magazine ranked among the top 5 wealthiest artists in hip-hop–suggested a third shoot in Thug’s native Atlanta. What happened next can only be described as epic. Between Birdman’s Rich Gang crew and Young Thug’s extended family, our photo studio felt like the epicenter of Atlanta hip-hop for the day. Last month, reports revealed Baby would appear in Thug’s “Stoner” music video.

Young Thug is getting ready to release the official music video for “Stoner.” In a behind-the-scenes peek at the upcoming clip, Thug is joined on set by Fabo of D4L , who is referenced in the song. Migos and Thug’s manager Birdman also make appearances, with Birdman sitting next to Thug as he tells Revolt that he always knew that the song would become as big as it has, even when some of those around him were not so sure. Photos of Baby donning tattoos of YMCMB’s Rich Gang and Young Thug surfaced online last month.

We all know that Birdman loves to get tattoos. Recently, the Cash Money CEO added another piece of ink to pay homage to his crew and the hottest Atlanta rapper in the game. Baby, who showed off his latest ink work on Instagram, got a face tattoo that reads “RG” to signify his new management team Rich Gang. He then got a finger tattoo with the letters “C-M-Y-M-Y-S-L” — an acronym for Young Money Cash Money Stoner Life. So does this mean that Young Thug and Cash Money are officially a team? Recently, Young Thug dished out his respect for YMCMB leader Lil Wayne and explained how much he molded his style.

“Wayne, Wayne and Wayne. The fact that the n*gga got 100 M’s and he still rap everyday, it’s amazing,” Thug said in an interview. “Rich Gang to the death. Big shout out to [Gucci Mane]. He was a big help to my career. But, I’m with Rich Gang and that’s how we gone turn it up… [Cash Money’s Baby] is like a real father figure.” (The FADER)
