According to Tyga, seeing his boss behind bars was a shocker.

“It was crazy to see him in there in that type of situation, but he’s doing good,” Tyga said in an interview. “He’s holding his head up. He was basically just talking about his whole experience in there, everything that’s going on. He knew everything about everything in there, so I was just basically listening to what he had to say.” (MTV)

Young Money’s Gudda Gudda also talked about keeping in touch with Wayne this past week.

“I talk to [Wayne] probably about two to three times a week,” he revealed in an interview. “I let him know about everything that I’ve been recording and basically, he just tells me to keep going. [Wayne] is behind me 100 percent. He calls me with a lot of ideas and I execute them. I just go in the studio, knock it out.” (VIBE)

Drake vouched for Wayne’s innocence in an interview earlier this month.

“One of my biggest influences ended up being a close friend of mine, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne who is actually responsible for my career has always been a huge influence to me and one of my heroes,” Drake said in an interview. “I’ve talked to Wayne since he’s been in jail. In my opinion, he didn’t do anything wrong. I think that was the opportunity to make an example of somebody who didn’t deserve to be made an example out of.” (CNN)

Rap mogul Diddy visited Wayne at Rikers Island in late April.

Rap mega-star Lil Wayne – locked up on a gun conviction – brought in at least one more bold-faced name this week: Diddy. The music mogul stopped by the Eric M. Taylor correctional facility to visit Lil Wayne on Wednesday. Diddy, born Sean Combs, even swapped his luxury wheels for the public bus like all the other visitors Wednesday. Diddy was on a pre-approved list to see Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr., and the chat was limited to an hour, sources said. (New York Daily News)
