Young Money’s Tyga looks to be following in Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa‘s footsteps by joining the recent hair dye craze.
While Wiz and Brown have sported blond tops as of late, Tyga is now rocking a brown hairstyle.
Following in the footsteps of fellow musician/ collaborator Chris Brown, Young Money’s Tyga went and switched up his hair color and dyed his hair light brown. We’re not sure what the inspiration behind the change was but tell us, are you feeling his new look? (VIBE)
Last Friday (May 6), Brown made a return to his blond look for a birthday celebration.
Chris Brown partied the night away with the first of two planned birthday bashes at Club Play in Miami on Friday night (May 6). The bottles were poppin’ and the club was jam-packed with some of his celebrity pals including “Look at Me Now” collaborator Lil Wayne, Trina, Mack Maine, and Roscoe Dash. The back-to-blond singer, who turned 22 last week, bared his tatted chest from a balcony as he blew out the candles on his F.A.M.E.-decorated cake. (Rap-Up)
In February, Brown made headlines for temporarily dying his hair blond.
Brown dyed his hair platinum blond over the weekend, debuting the drastic new ‘do on his Twitter page Saturday, Feb. 26. “Look at me now,” the singer wrote alongside a link to a photo, which was viewed close to 70,000 times within an hour of its posting. Although some of Brown’s 1 million-plus followers loved the new look, others were not so forthcoming with their praise. Many blasted the 21-year-old for his hair color, likening him to Amber Rose and Dru Hill lead singer Sisqo. Twitter users even created the trending topic “Crisqo.” (Popeater)
After calling out blond posers on Twitter last month, Louisiana rapper Curren$y hit up SOHH to elaborate on spotting swagger jackers as of late.
“Wiz’s cool because nobody else was wearing blonde streaks in their hair,” Curren$y told SOHH. “I encountered a person yesterday who was [rocking the hairdo] and I was like, ‘Now that’s not right’. I had to point them out. But I didn’t call this guy out, [my] homegirl called him out. He walked up to me and was like, ‘Yo, what’s up?’ and it was heartbreaking because this girl was like, ‘Yo, does he have a f*cking [hairdo] like your friend has?’ And I was like, ‘Ah man, yeah, he does!’ It was crazy. It’s not something you see on the homies, except for maybe [producer] Kwame. Kwame can get away if he’s wearing one because he’s the one who made that sh*t up.” (SOHH)
