According to reports, Drake’s Take Care will lead the fall takeover.

Drake will serve up his sophomore album Take Care on his birthday (October 24). One week later on November 1, Bow Wow will make his Cash Money debut with Underrated. Young Money’s teen heartthrob Lil Twist will step up to the plate with his debut Don’t Get It Twisted on November 8. On November 15, Tyga will invite fans into his Careless World with his second album. Jay Sean and Birdman share Thanksgiving week with their respective releases Freeze Time and Bigga Than Life, both due November 21. And the family will come together for the holidays on December 20 with a second Young Money compilation. (Rap-Up)

Over the summer, Drake hinted at what fans can anticipate from Take Care.

Stevie Wonder is a very close friend of mine. I’m honored to call him a friend, someone who embraced me very early in this music business,” Drake said in an interview. “This is an exclusive right here, because it’s MuchMusic, and we’re Canadian: Stevie Wonder is actually on ‘Take Care.’ — He helped me out with a lot of the music, just came and sat with me, listened to my music, told me where I could add a couple things to make it more sonically appealing, and not only that but we actually are writing together, which is an incredible experience…So I hit him, asked him to come by, and with no hesitation he hit me back like ‘I will be there.’ Not only that, but he was supposed to do two songs and he did like six — It was incredible.” (MuchMusic)

While she does not have a release date penciled in, Nicki Minaj’s sophomore album is in the works.

However, she already has a release date in mind for her sophomore set — though she’s reluctant to broadcast the info. “I can give you an idea,” she said, coyly. “But I don’t want to. I’d rather not right now. Because then everybody is gonna jump on the bandwagon and say they’re putting out their album the same day.” (MTV)

Recently, Cash Money Records co-founder Baby spoke on getting the company brand expanding.

“Just how heavy it was, how many different brands you had, how many different artists. Now it’s a new era, really. A lot of the old acts ain’t around no more, of the era when we come in the game. The labels, the corporations, they not supporting the brands. I think one of my biggest things was I been an independent brand. I always owned my own brand. I never been funded by them. It’s P&D deal. I was always able to use my money to do everything we wanted to do, too. So when you bagged up by them and they money, and you ain’t working out… You might have one bad year, and they’ll give up. Things might not balance out. It could be any little thing. Times change, like 9/11, depression. People didn’t wanna f*ck with money like they used to. In my situation, I never had them do that for me. I always floated my own money. We made our own moves.” (XXL Magazine)
