Confirming the art work is legit, Maine said Wayne fans could anticipate the LP dropping June 21st.

Earlier this week, rumors hit the ‘net that Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated album, Tha Carter IV, was pushed back from May 16 until June. XXLMag.com has learned exclusively, that the claims are indeed true. An unofficial tracklist for one of the most, if not the most, anticipated hip-hop albums of 2011 landed on the internet this week. Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV is scheduled for a May 16 release date, and on Thursday, Complex.com released what is a rumored album tracklisting for the Cash Money/Young Money superstar’s upcoming project. The tracklist reveals Jay-Z, Eminem, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Birdman, Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, Swizz Beatz, Kanye West, Game and more as speculated contributors. (Hip Hop Wired)

Prior to the album delay, Wayne said he hoped to drop Carter IV around mid-May.

Tha Carter IV is done,” Wayne told MTV News. “All they need to do is tell Tez [manager Cortez Bryant] to stop sitting on it. Tez, stop sitting on Tha Carter IV and put the album out.” Bryant, Weezy’s longtime manager, was in attendance and provided the specific release date. “May 16, believe that,” Wayne said. “It can come out tomorrow ’cause I’m so finished … Tha Carter IV will be dropping May 16. If you’re not doing anything, do me,” he added. (MTV)
