Although Maine gave out details, a launch date has not yet been announced.

“As far as the Young Money credit cards go, it is true. I don’t have a definite date yet, but I should have one soon before the end of the week. But it is true, so make sure the fans and the people that are interested sign up. It’s a pre-paid card. We’re not starting it out with each member having their own card just yet. It’s just pretty much a Young Money card and then we’ll branch out to like Nicki Minaj pink cards, maybe having Wayne and Drake cards being like the black cards. You know, just different levels of it. Maybe have Twist and Chuckee for the younger crowd. We’ll make sure each member has it as we learn the ropes.” (Karen Civil)

Speculation on a Young Money debit card venture hit the Internet earlier today.

This was scanned from The Source’s new cover story featuring Mack Maine and Birdman. It goes unnoticed, but in the middle of Mack’s family jewels, there’s a black like-American Express card with the Young Money logo. It could merely be a business card, but in the tangible copy, it’s much clearer. If true, hopefully we’re pre-approved. (Rap Radar)

In late 2009, Maine broke down his thoughts on Young Money entering the new year.

“As far as Cash Money, direction is everywhere,” Maine said about the company. “Cash Money, Young Money it’s [the same.] No feelings on [Wayne’s bid.] We’ve been prepared. We’ve been prepared for whatever — I could go back to the Cash Money question and the Jay Sean, Kevin Rudolf, Drake, Nicki Minaj, the top players in the genre, how could you ask for more? You got the NBA, you got your top players. All-Stars. Football All-Stars. We got legends that’s gonna be in the Hall of Fame of music. If it’s talent, we don’t care where you from. It’s not like we were looking for [Jay Sean], somebody turned Slim, Baby on, heard some of his music, saw some of his concerts, called him and was like, ‘Why you not in the states yet?’ because nobody knew him over there. It’s like, we helped him and he helped us ’cause now we branching out way over there and getting some of his crowd.” (Vlad TV)

Prior to beginning a jail sentence last March on a gun conviction, Wayne talked about handling the multiple personalities on Young Money.

“[Young Money], we don’t even have an album out,” Wayne said about being appreciative of their buzz. “I just wanna say we respect everybody and we love everything everyone has done for us already. Love is the respect we get. Every time we step out and every time we do anything, we get mad support. I love ’em for that but I want ’em to know that we will, we will deliver.” (DJ Drama)
