Young Jeezy, T-Pain & DJ Khaled Headline “Best of Best 2009″ Festival

Young Jeezy, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross and more have been chosen to headline next month’s Best of the Best International Music Festival in Florida.

Hosted by T-Pain, the showcase will feature a variety of urban entertainers.

Artists already confirmed for this year’s blowout event include DJ Khaled, Rick Ross,Young Jeezy, Bounty Killa, Beenie Man, Mavado, Cocoa Tea, Serani, Wayne Wonder, Elephant Man, Matterhorn, Capleton, Jabba and Ras Penco. (Hip Hop Press)

Co-promoters Budafuco and Jabba have released a statement regarding the significance of the annual event.

“Best of the Best International Music Festival is more than your average, bland music festival. It is a rich and inventive music event to be savored by the socialites and influential tastemakers of the world,” a statement reads. “We invite everyone around the country to Miami, Florida to celebrate through music, culture and food.” (Statement)

The event will offer a fusion of sounds and take place towards the end of May.

Presented by South Florida’s premier music and lifestyle Promotions Company, JBJ Entertainment, Best of the Best will boast today’s brightest names in Soca, Pop, Caribbean, Reggae and Hip-Hop music. This widely anticipated 10-hour event will commence on Sunday, May 24th at Bicentennial Park (1075 Biscayne Blvd.) in downtown Miami. Gates open promptly at 1:00 pm, with the first performance beginning at 1:30 pm. (MySpace)

Ross recently hit the stage for BET’s Spring Bling 2009 concert weekend last month.

For two days of non-stop fun, “Spring Bling” fans will experience popular episodes of Revamped (segments showcasing the hottest dance acts across the country, accompanied by live performances). Performances and appearances at the Riviera Beach in West Palm Beach will be made by Bobby Valentino, Rick Ross, Bow Wow, The-Dream, Tocarra, Alseha Renee, Busta Rhymes, Soulja Boy, Plies, Samiie, Flo Rida, GS Boyz, Keri Hilson and Gorilla Zoe.
