Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy has become the latest victim to album leaks with his Thug Motivation 103 spreading online, however, the “Snowman” says he is not stressing out.
Speaking in a live Ustream session with fans, Jeezy explained having confidence despite an album leak.
“Yeah, it’s all good, man,” Jeezy said during a live Ustream session. “We ain’t tripping off those suckers leaking nothing. Real n*ggas ride with real n*ggas, you know. Real n*ggas gonna go and purchase that album. That sh*t ain’t just about the music. It’s a movement, man. We all we got. It’s us and then it’s them, baby. You know what I mean? We all we got and I gotcha.” (Ustream)
Recently, Jeezy offered his take on album leaks getting popularized these days.
“It’s just a crazy time in music because I remember when there was a time when we couldn’t wait just to go in the store and buy [an album] so I don’t understand, what’s the rush?,” Jeezy tells VIBE. “I mean you can’t rush greatness if something comes out and somebody puts hard work into it and you’re a fan of it you should want to purchase it and support him. It’s not about the money to me, it’s about the act you know — pulling up to the mall, getting out your car and actually going to buy something that you dig, that you feel is worth it.” (VIBE)
Earlier in the week, TM103 snippets began popping up on various blogs.
Let’s get down to brass tracks: Jeezy, or Young Jeezy (I don’t know what the f*ck he goes by anymore), is stuck in 2005, literally. Dude’s still spelling things with a “z” where an “s” should be. That sh*t dropped off with basketball jerseys and G-Unit. However, it doesn’t seem to be of consequence so far, as his “comeback album” TM 103: Hustlerz Ambition is one of the more anticipated December releases. Maybe people just want the satisfaction to drink from his failure. Regardless, you can stream the whole album below in a little snippet preview if you’re looking to catch a spoiler despite the fact that just about every record from the album has already been put out as a “single” or “official leak.” (Ology)
Last week, the rapper said his new LP would mark the conclusion of his Thug Motivation series.
“I think this is the last one,” Jeezy said in an interview. “That’s why I put it together the way I did, you know. It’s on to the next chapter, the next phase. We did TM 101, which was [the first] Thug Motivation, 2 milli, changed the game a lil’ bit. I like to call it a classic. Just a lil’ bit though. … We did The Inspiration. I didn’t call it 102, but I think everybody in the streets called it 102 so I had to kind of ride with that. And then of course The Recession, shout out to Barack Obama, so now we’re back to motivating the thugs. … 2012, I just wanted to be there for my people.” (WPGC 95.5)
Thug Motivation 103 is slated to hit stores Tuesday, December 20th.
