According to Buck Marley, turning 33 and being more mature has helped him consider making significant business decisions.

“I’ve matured so much from then to now that it’s almost like two different people. As far as the individual, the person that I am, you’re gonna always get that energy, that Young Buck feel from the music. But as a person, I’m just more off into the business side of things. I’m more mature all the way around.” (XXL Mag)

YB also talked about launching new businesses outside of the music industry.

“It’s simple, for me. That’s the simplest thing. The character of who I was and what I was, it has a lot to do with age. I’ve matured in age, but at the same time with saying that, a lot of people, a lot of different types of individuals I choose to just disassociate myself with. So a lot of things like that play a big part. Making smart moves, better decisions and just being more on the business side. But I’ve been out of prison not even 12 months and I’ve already got a restaurant, three, four day cares and four or five different properties.” (XXL Mag)

The Unit’s Lloyd Banks recently cited a lack of communication for putting distance between himself and Unit head 50 Cent.

“Me and 50 wasn’t talking for a while,” Banks said in an interview. “It was a lack of communication on both our parts. I don’t know what to chalk it up to. We been doing this for a long time. Over ten years. Went from being in a condo just planning over what we wanted to happen and to watch it play out…It wasn’t just me and 50. It was points me and Buck didn’t talk.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

Although the Unit had fallen apart in recent years, Buck recently promised his band of brothers were built to win.

“Don’t look for the downfall of G-Unit,” the rapper said. “Cause you’ll be looking for a long God damn time. You understand? But looking for the success of G-Unit you’ll get what you want to see real quick. But looking for the downfall homie you gon’ be stuck…Don’t pray on our downfall or look for it. Look for the success. Look for the good music. Look for the positive energy. And that’s what you gon’ get. Because even if you ain’t looking for it that’s what you gon’ get.” (This Is 50)

  1. Not saying he’s lying, I like buck but if I owned daycares and properties I would know exactly how many I owned. I wouldn’t be like I got 3 or 4 of these and 4 or 5 of that.that’s like officer Ricky not knowing how many Wingstops he owns, smh

    • And blacks have this misconception that just because u own a business, that business must be profitable.

      • shut up you racist piece of shit. his clothing line is doing well. he started off selling his shit on a website to fans now its selling in stores and his restaurant is well known in nashville. your sitting behind a computer hating on someone whos making money because your broke. buck has made more in 33 years than you will in a life time.

      • why do you need to make it about color as if it makes any difference? your comment was just complete ignorance, some of the most successful businessmen are black.

    • hes not lying i live in chattanooga tn. hes got 3 day cares, a soul food restaurant and a chop shop all based in nashville. he also owns a clothing line so thats more than 5 properties.

  2. Buck is my favorite emcee. It ain’t that hard to hustle all you need is a dream, drive and patients. Remember everything is a process, think of yourself as a turtle you have to be hard on the outside, soft on the inside and be willing to stick you’re neck out there.

  3. Why the hell does sohh one interview with xxl and spin 100 different stories with it?

  4. I’m glad to see Buck is wiser this time around. Hopefully he will leave all the bullshit drugs, stupid spending habits and pay his taxes so that way he will be able to generate more money outside of the music industry.
