SOHH has learned former G-Unit member Young Buck is reportedly in talks to collaborate with 50 Cent‘s ex-associate and current rival Bang Em Smurf on multiple projects.
According to a source from Bang Em Smurf’s camp, fans can expect Buck and the original G-Unit member working together with other 50 rivals including rappers Rick Ross and Yumouthk.
“Bang Em Smurf and Young Buck are working together,” the source informed SOHH. “They are shooting a movie which will include Fredro Starr, Yukmouth, C-Bo, Rick Ross and more. Smurf talked with Buck after hearing his name mentioned in a past song and eventually settled their differences. He then told him to come out to the United Kingdom to film a movie with him, Rick Ross, Fredro Starr, Yukmouth and C-Bo.” (SOHH)
In 2010, Buck dropped a song called “Steroids” addressing Smurf over allegedly owed money.
“Bang’ Em Smurf I f*ck with you but I don’t owe you nothing/ Just stick to letting the world know that 50 stunting/ The call he recorded and he got you deported, 50 just enjoyed, the next day ignored it.” (“Steroids”)
Last year, Smurf said he spoke with Buck following the track’s release.
“I got the calls and all that talking about Young Buck said my name talking about he don’t owe me sh*t or whatever. I don’t got no problem with Buck because when I left… me and Buck, we had a close relationship. I see he still trying to do his thing, but now people are going to see the other side of [50 Cent] I was trying to bring to the light since ’03, ’04. Now the world is starting to see. I kind of like did my job already. I’m back up and he’s coming back down. I did my job. The thing I would say to 50 is thank you very much ’cause he got me in the position I’m in right now. Life is like chess. He made a few stupid moves to put me right back on. So I thank him for that.” (Hip Hop Wired)
In 2009, during the heat of 50’s past beef with Ross, the G-Unit leader spoke on Smurf linking with “The Boss” and his decision to disassociate himself from Buck.
“I wasn’t surprised,” 50 said in an interview with Angela Yee. “I got like three letters that he sent to the office, he had turned Muslim while incarcerated and just wanted to make good…He got deported, so he’s not even in the United States…While he’s out of the country, he saw an opportunity to say something…I think the people around me that would be willing [to be disloyal] were disposed of. Like, they could have potentially have gotten Buck to do something like that. That’s why it was so important that I removed him the way I did. When you identify with a person having interest in themselves and themselves only, you gotta get rid of them. You can’t be a team player when they’re playing for themselves.” (Shade 45)
