Speaking on-air with radio personality Tim Westwood, Buck gave his thoughts on Flex.

“I think the whole breaking up of G-Unit [in 2008] even made Flex look at me in a different way,” Buck explained. “I be looking in the media and catching him throw his darts and stuff at me. And I’m like, man, I ain’t never had a problem with dude. Everybody’s left to go out for their own opinion of the situation. I’m speaking of Flex. I wasn’t saying nothing in no disrespectful way — I know for a fact that he has his own personal feelings to his opinion and he’s entitled to that but I’m the type of individual where there’s anything regarding me that you want to clear up in any kind of way, I’m available.” (Tim Westwood TV)

Buck also made sure to tell fans he is not trying to spark a beef with Flex.

“I don’t mind coming and looking at you face to face and having this same interview that I’m having with you. There’s always two sides of the story. I salute him to the fullest, like I say, this is no beef. I have no beef with Flex but I do look forward to ironing a couple things with him. You know, listening to his opinion of things because that’s all this rap game is based on. Everybody’s fighting to be number one. Like I said, I’m here.” (Tim Westwood TV)

Aside from Buck, Flex recently ruffled the feathers of Kanye West‘s ex-girlfriend/model Amber Rose after playfully joking about their break-up live on radio earlier this month.

“One question @funkmasterflex how am I a hoe when I was in a RELATIONSHIP for 2 years with a man that I loved???”

“Someone gave u ur start at hot 97 right??? @funkmasterflexdid u hire yourself? No u didn’t. Life is a blessing this was handed to me!”

“I have opportunities @funkmasterflex to do great things and help ppl why would u hate on that? Because Kanye helped me?”

“God bless @funkmasterflex hope u could put urself in my shoesbefore u are so judge mental next time.” (Amber Rose’s Twitter)

More recently, rap group The Outlawz released a diss record aimed at Flex over misinterpreted comment he made about the late Tupac Shakur at a recent show.

Hip-Hop group The Outlawz have dropped a scathing diss record aimed at Funkmaster Flex, after the popular New York radio host made controversial remarks about late rapper Tupac Shakur. The new song, titled, “Warning Shots”, is a 3:52 second record against Funk Flex, after footage of the Hot 97 radio host surfaced late sharing his opinion on Tupac Shakur on the stage. “The n*gga hating over there, we ain’t from where he from/Them murder homies over there, they call your number, you’re done/Now see how Biggie & Pac felt under the gun/Got you losing money, you scared now, none of it’s fun/And you’re a mut, I’m on your a** a 100 miles an hour/With 105.1 pounds of power/Speak about the Don, I’m responding back — Flex, drop a bomb to that.” (All Hip Hop)
