In Yeezy’s perspective, artists like Drake and Big Sean are atop the hip-hop scene.

“”I couldn’t have been happier to go and shoot this video with two of the hottest rappers in the game,” Kanye said referring to Big Sean’s “Blessings” music video and Drake. “Let’s be respectable and truthful, [Drake’s] the hottest rapper and one of the hottest rappers in the game, and I fall somewhere in that field.” (BBC Radio 1)

Last week, Kanye revealed past plans to do a collaborative album with Drake

“I’m going to go ahead and say it because maybe this will promote it happening, so I’m going to go ahead and put it out in the real world. The ‘Wolves’ song came from a conversation that me and Drake had where we was going to do an album together and the album was going to be called Wolves. Me and Jay [Z] started talking about Watch The Throne and then Drake went and did all the records with [Lil] Wayne – but I just put it out in the world. If y’all don’t like it then y’all can send it right back. [laughs] I asked him [about the album] and he said yeah we was going to do it and actually, he was sending beats back and forth – I got this one record with Young Thug that I’m probably going to put on Rihanna’s album. I know I’m giving away a lot of information today. … I don’t know, it might happen because I threw it out there. By the way, he’ll probably be mad that I’m mentioning this on y’all show since he dislikes y’all so much.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

A couple years ago, Drake dished on Kanye appearing at his OVO Fest concert.

“In rap, sometimes we don’t communicate enough,” Drake explained. “Me and Kanye, we hadn’t even talked before we got on stage together. We didn’t rehearse or anything like that. That was my first time seeing him, on stage. Hiw words, that was a moment I clicked out. I don’t know if this is real or not. I’m not sure if I’m still sleeping from the morning, like, I’m dreaming about how this is working out, probably the most important moment in my life today. At the end of the day, I do look up to ‘Ye, he’s a major influence if not the biggest influence in my career.” (Revolt)

During the concert, Ye applauded Drizzy for showing love to Toronto and also said his joint Jay Z Watch the Throne 2011 album was fueled by the rap heavyweight.

“It’s been a lot of rappers that came in the game that wasn’t able to do something like this for their city,” Kanye said during the concert. “Me and Hov would have never made Watch the Throne if this n*gga wasn’t putting pressure on us like that.” (OVO Fest)

  1. Rosario Harper – You dropped Chris brown’s name in the header for views. Not sure if you’re aware but Brown is a singer so why would he be mad that Kanye called Drake the hottest? Ya’ll media folk are thirsty af

    • Well lets be honest Chris Brown hasnt done traditional R&B in years. He wants to be a rapper sooooo bad. He just said in an interview ” Who else could Rihanna or Tran run to?” “Whos hotter then me?” Well tbh Breezy–Drake is. Youre career is hanging by a thread but Breezy has laid enough ground work to always tour. However, I do agree with the title being baited to get clicks. Just to clarify Im not a stan of Drake but he is the biggest name is pop rap/ etc.

      • Agreed 100%. But i still dont think breezy think he the hottest rapper. Hes always seen to be saying he does it for fun. Im amazed the kid is still as famous as he is after everything tbh. An accomplisment on its own
