Based on one-day estimates, Gotti’s LP will make next week’s sales chart.

Veteran RCA Dirty South rapper Yo Gotti, by way of Memphis, releases Live from the Kitchen, his first major label release after putting out four independent albums and a slew of mixtapes since 2000. Based on one-day sales from those retailers who haven’t paved paradise and put up a parking lot, it looks to be on target for between 12-15K in its first week. Several singles have been released over the past few years, including “Single,” while the next track, “All About Me,” features Drake. (Hits Daily Double)

Gotti has actively promoted the project on Twitter and said some fans have had trouble finding it in stock.

“S/O 2 ALL MY FANS DATS OUT THERE TRYNA BUY MY CD BUT CANT FIND’EM!!! #ThisSh*tCrazy I TOLD U SO!!!!,” he tweeted January 10th.

“THEY OUT THERE (CD’S) #ThisSh*tJustCrazy I TOLD SO!!!!!”

“BUT F*CK IT HERE GO DA ITUNES LINK IF YU CANT FIND IT!!!!! http://itunes.apple.com/us/preorder/live-from-the-kitchen/id489929216 #ThatSh*tCrazy” (Yo Gotti’s Twitter)

His album has also received support and promotion from Atlanta rap star Soulja Boy.

“shoutout to @yogottikom he dropped that “live from the kitchen” today go cop that! $alute,” Soulja Boy tweeted January 11th. (Soulja Boy’s Twitter)

Gotti’s new record features guest appearances from hip-hop darlings such as Wale and Big Sean.

Even though Gotti may be a consummate Southerner, he sounds perfectly at home next to on-fire New York stalwart Jadakiss on “Red White And Blue”; after all, both of them are survivors in a landscape that’s become inhospitable to tough-guy rappers. The only track where Gotti really leaves his comfort zone is “Go Girl,” a lightweight collab with internet-rap upstarts Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., Big Sean, and Wale; Gotti just sounds uncomfortable next to these guys.
