Yo Gotti Clears Air After Calling Out Juicy J: “I Told Him – ‘I Ain’t Got Nothing Against You So When…'”

Memphis rapper Yo Gotti has set the record straight after publicly name-dropping Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J last weekend and accusing the fellow Tennessee emcee of dodging him.

According to Gotti, he and Juicy immediately hopped on the phone and put things into perspective following the dicey tweet.

“Ain’t no problem with me and Juicy. I actually spoke to him, like, probably an hour or so after the tweet, and we got on the phone and chopped it up,” Gotti told MTV News on Tuesday (November 19), the same day his I Am album dropped. “I talked to his brother, Project Pat too. We chopped it up. We cool. Same thing I said on Twitter, I told him on the phone. I just basically wanted to let him know, ‘Look homey, I ain’t got nothing against you so when we’re in the same facility, security don’t have to be moving like I’m trying to do something to you.” (MTV)

Before their phone chat ended, Gotti said they were able to end things on a good note.

Yo Gotti began to question things after a few instances where he and Juicy were partying at the same club, but their phone conversation put things in a different perspective. “He said that it wasn’t his security, that maybe it’s the facility’s security, which I could see where he was coming from,” he continued. “We straightened out. It’s cool.” (MTV)

Over the weekend, Gotti raised flags after appearing to single out the Juice Man.

“Somebody Tell @therealJuicyj Quit Dodging Me Everytime he see Me.. My N—a I ain’t tryna do nothing To U…,” Gotti tweeted November 16.

“My N—a u from Memphis.. if I was tryna do some to u it woulda been Happen @TheRealJuicyJ And if I had yo line I woulda hit u..” (Yo Gotti’s Twitter)

Outside of the perceived rift, the Memphis rap veteran recently hit up SOHH and talked about the advantages of social media.

“Social media is important to me because all the vlogs and going viral go hand in hand. It’s a way to bring the fans in personally to see what you are doing, the things you are into, the things you are not into,” Gotti told SOHH. “They’ll see again that I’m just like them and I go through different things every day. Coming from the culture I come from, I feel I was kinda late getting on social media, understanding what it is and how to use it, what it’s used for and how to bring people in. I feel I pretty much get it and understand it now and I’m doing a good job of keeping the people and the fans updated.” (SOHH)
