West Coast rapper YG is sitting pretty on top of $60,000 media initially reported he had lost. New updates reveal the California native didn’t lose the hefty payout for violating a college performance agreement.

According to the latest reports, YG’s recent “FDT” set at San Diego State University did not cost him the lump sum.

Shortly after those reports were published and went viral, however, a university spokesperson told SPIN that YG had been paid his full fee despite having played the song. Now, in response to a public records request filed to the university by SPIN, the student group who booked the rapper says that the school did not have a contract with YG banning him from playing “FDT.” (SPIN)

Earlier this month, buzz developed over YG giving up the racks to perform his anti-Donald Trump song.

YG is sticking to his guns. The Compton MC reportedly broke a $60,000 contract by performing “F**k Donald Trump” at San Diego University on Friday (March 3). Sharing videos and tweets from the concert at SDSU’s “Greenfest” event at Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theater, fans revealed that YG was asked by the university not to perform the anti-Trump anthem.
