Taylor Gang's Juicy J recently discussed the work ethic of Wiz Khalifa and detailed just how much of a studio junkie the father-to-be really is.

Asked what he has learned about Wiz since joining Taylor Gang last year, Juicy immediately cited the rapper’s motivation to succeed.

“He gets that money, man. He’s got energy. He’s young. Wiz is like, what, 25? He Just turned 25? That reminds me of myself when I was 24, 25. I was walking around with a laptop, when n*ggas were like, “I’m a straight hood n*gga.” At the end of the day, I’m smart. A lot of people don’t be understanding that n*ggas from the hood is smart. They know how to count that money. They know how to hustle. N*ggas ain’t stupid. I mean there’s a couple dummies here and there that do stupid sh*t, but we all do stupid sh*t … He’s super smart, he’s talented. He’s smart about it. He’s from the hood as well. He knows what he wants.” (Complex)

Juicy also pointed out Khalifa’s dedication to making music habitually.

“With Wiz, he’s working. He’s not asleep, he’s working. High as h*ll, but knocking out five or six songs a day. So, we got the same energy, same vibe. That’s what made us click so hard. Everything went smooth, and everything’s going smooth right now, as well. That’s where the energy comes from, man. Everybody’s on the same page.” (Complex)

Last December, Taylor Gang’s Chevy Woods spoke to SOHH about the growing team.

“I’m bringing my me and my laid back personality. The Taylor Gang is one gang, but we’re all different. No one is trying to be other other. All of us do little things to spread their message to the world. Each Taylor Gang member is good with the lane of music they’re doing … we can jump into each others lane and make it work. As far as what I want to get out the game, I’m not looking for a big pot of gold or a certain amount of money or none of that sh**. I’m just lookin’ for the repsect and the love.” (SOHH)

In 2011, Juicy delved into what made him officially partner up with Wiz.

“We been talking about it and it just went down,” Juicy tells xxlmag.com. “They like brothers to me. It’s a blessing. I’ve been doing this over twenty years [and for] people to still recognize my music and appreciate my music, it’s a blessing.” Juicy J says that both he and Wiz are already hard at work. “Wiz got a new album coming out next year,” he shares. “It’s crazy. He’s got over 40 songs done. He’s still recording. And he’s got a compilation album he’s gonna put out featuring all of his artists.” According to the Memphis native, as of now, those other artists are Chevy Woods, Lola Monroe, Neako and possibly others.
