On Khalifa’s remix, he follows Drizzy’s verse with his own tale of coming from nothing to something.

So yesterday YMCMB’s own, Drake, hit the interwebs with a new track called “Started From The Bottom” much to the delight of fans. Well today the Taylor Gang’s own, Wiz Khalifa, returns with a dope new remix to the track. Wiz took to the interwebs this morning and let loose of his take on the new track, which he stated “I think it relates to all of us”, before dropping the track. Wiz hits the track running after Drizzy does his thing and speaks about his rise throughout the game, and do so in truly impressive manner. (Stupid Dope)

Soulja Boy opts out of including Drizzy to tell his own story of struggle and achievement.

The remixes keep coming. An hour after Wiz Khalifa unleashed his freestyle, Soulja Boy drops off a remix to Drake’s new single “Started From the Bottom.” The 22-year-old rapper reps for his clique and sees dollar signs on his money-minded verse. “I’m on the jet getting head in the sky/ Shoot me in my face if I ever tell a lie,” raps the SODMG leader. Rather than wait until later this month, Drake unleashed his new record heading into the weekend.

“I did not buy my way into this spot and it was the furthest thing from easy to achieve. I am proud of every part of my past and I’m excited for this song to find a place in your life as well. I didn’t feel I needed any interviews or radio or press to launch this song. It felt right to come back to the site that I started on and release it to the people that started here with me. Judging by this post, the tour that we’ve been planning, the conversations about new songs and album artwork…I think it’s safe to say we’re back together again. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.” (October’s Very Own)

Initial plans were for the track to drop on February 10th in light of the Grammy Awards.

Drake is done resting on the bench. His representatives at Universal Music told Billboard that the rapper will be throwing us a new track on the night of the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. According to the magazine, the new track is called ‘Started From the Bottom.’ It’s obvious Drake wants to make the Grammys his big moment. The rapper’s sophomore effort, ‘Take Care,’ released in November 2011, is nominated for Best Rap Album. (The Drop)
