According to Khalifa, this album will be packed with feel-good records and ample fun for all listeners.

Taylor Gang was in the building when Wiz Khalifa stopped by AXS TV’s “Skee Live” on Tuesday. The Pittsburgh rapper opened up about his upcoming album Blacc Hollywood and revealed how his collaboration with Adele came together. “The Hollywood part, of course, is like the success, the glitz, the glamour, the fun stuff,” said Wiz of the title. “And the Blacc is where we come from–not Pittsburgh the ‘hood, but Pittsburgh party, drinking at a very young age, tearing stuff up, staying up too late. It’s a lot of fun and it’s a lot of attitude.” He just wants to let loose on the follow-up to 2012?s O.N.I.F.C. “It’s just gonna be a very fun project,” added Wiz. “I don’t have really any points to prove on this one except that I’m awesome. I’m really taking my time and picking the records out.” (Rap-Up)

Back in August, Khalifa revealed his son ultimately helped him realize what approach he should take with the LP.

“My son really just motivated me because I was kinda confused as to what I needed to do next and what was the best moves for me,” he admitted. “When I had him it kinda became all clear. So this album is gonna be really edgy. It’s gonna be really fun and going back to my roots, but still progressing and moving forward as well.” (MTV)

Earlier this year, the rapper said he was already at the halfway point of the upcoming solo effort.

“I took a break when he was born, all the way up until now,” Wiz said in an interview, referring to his newborn son. “So I’ve been inactive for about six weeks. I haven’t been in the studio, I haven’t been doing anything so when I got back to work, I was really motivated. It felt good to be working. It was fun, I was coming up with new ideas. I feel like a lot of the raps that I’m spitting right now are so killer, I got to put an album out. Why wait? … I’m like fifty percent done. I’ve started and it’s almost done. Right now, I just need to take the pieces apart and put em back together as far as the business side goes because I literally just told my label yesterday that I want to do this. They’re like, ‘Ah, okay, so you’re going to hand it in really soon if you want to make that date. So I’m just about to hustle up.” (FUSE TV)

Last December, Khalifa’s O.N.I.F.C. fell a notch short of debuting atop the sales chart.

Leading the way this week is Wiz Khalifa’s O.N.I.F.C. at No. 2 behind Taylor Swift‘s Red (167,000). According to Nielsen SoundScan, the new LP has shelled out 141,400 copies after seven days in stores. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
