Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa is currently finding homes on Forbes' annual Hip-Hop Cash Kings lists, however, the father-to-be has revealed what luxury goodie he copped once he finally got rich a couple years ago.

According to Wiz, his first big purchase came in the form of a $40,000 whip.

What was the first thing you bought when you got rich? My 2011 [Dodge] Challenger. The black and yellow car from the video. How much did it cost? I think it was $40,000. I didn’t buy it straight out because I wanted to build my credit up. I’ve got a couple cars that I bought straight out, but I didn’t buy this one straight out. I’m actually still making payments on it even though I could buy it. It’s good to have bills. Keeps your credit looking good. When did you buy it? This was like 2010. Where did you buy it? Back in Pittsburgh. (Complex)

This year, Khalifa just missed the top ten of Forbes’ Hip-Hop Cash Kings list.

1. Dr. Dre – $110 million 2. Diddy – $45 million 3. Jay-Z – $38 million 4. Kanye West – $35 million 5. Lil Wayne – $27 million 6 Drake – $20.5 million 7. Birdman – $20 million 8. Nicki Minaj – $15.5 million 9. Eminem – $15 million 10. Ludacris – $12 million 11. Pitbull – $9.5 million 12. Rick Ross – $9 million (tie) 12. Wiz Khalifa – $9 million (tie) 14. Snoop Dogg – $8.5 million 15. 50 Cent – $7.5 million 16. Swizz Beatz – $7 million (tie) 16. Pharrell – $7 million (tie) 16. Young Jeezy – $7 million (tie) 19. Mac Miller – $6.5 million 20. Akon – $6 million 20. Timbaland – $6 million 20. Tech N9ne – $6 million (Rap-Up)

Over the winter, Wiz revealed his intent to make $100 million this year.

“Oh yeah, man, I’m going to make $100 million this year,” he said. “No doubt, $100 million. The new mixtape [will] get everybody ready and get their wallets open.” Wiz was clearly in high spirits last night, and although he’s likely in for another big year, $100 million is a bit of a long shot. In the five years I’ve charted hip-hop’s top earners, only 50 Cent has taken home nine figures in a single year (in 2008, thanks to a $100 million windfall from the sale of his stake in VitaminWater parent Glaceau to Coca-Cola). Only 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Diddy and Kanye West have earned nine figures in the past five years combined. (Forbes)

Outside of paper-chasing, the 25 year-old rapper recently discussed preparing for fatherhood.

“We found out this summer, and it was more of a celebration than anything,” the rapper shared backstage with MTV News correspondent Jim Cantiello after Thursday night’s 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. “I did a backflip; she was doing this little dance that we made up.” Rose chimed in: “It’s called the monkey butt dance!” Celebratory gymnastics aside, Khalifa said he doesn’t expect that his life will slow down because he’s going to be a dad: “I’ve been pretty focused my entire life, and now that I have a family, I’m just going to keep that focus, but it’s going to be a family focus.” (MTV)
