Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa proved he really does love to “Roll Up” on a regular basis by getting busted by North Carolina police last night (May 1) on a marijuana possession citation.
Much like his recent weed incident, Khalifa was able to avoid an overnight stay behind bars.
Wiz Khalifa — who famously raps about rolling joints “bigger than King Kong’s fingers” — was busted for weed AGAIN last night … the 2nd time in 10 days. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina tells us … the rapper was ticketed for possession of marijuana after his concert in Winston-Salem last night. We’re told officers discovered 11.39 grams of pot after searching the rapper and his tour bus. Wiz was cited and released — and is required to appear in court at a later date. (TMZ)
Just last week, Khalifa made headlines over a weed bust in Tennessee.
According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, Metro Nashville Police responded to Wiz’s room on April 21 after someone complained about a strong odor of marijuana. When officers arrived to the scene, Wiz — real name Cameron Jibril Thomaz — allegedly tossed a “marijuana cigarette” out of the window. Cops say they recovered the item … saying, “inside the rolling paper was a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana.” According to the report, Wiz eventually admitted the joint was his and said he had 3.7 grams of weed in his pocket. Wiz — who’s VERY open about his marijuana use — was hit with a citation … and probably smoked more weed after the officers left. (TMZ)
The rapper recently revealed his fiancee Amber Rose‘s stance on weed smoking.
“[Weed smoking?] She’s like, ‘Get it away.’ She doesn’t hate it, but she will not do it. She’ll roll it, she loves how it smells… She just doesn’t want to get high ’cause she don’t want to feel that.” (Hot 97)
Last summer, the rapper had drug-related charges dropped from a previous marijuana-possession incident.
Drug charges were dropped against a rapper who performed at East Carolina University because the charges were in error at the time of his arrest, the district attorney said Wednesday. All charges against the rapper and six others with him were dismissed when three of the men admitted the marijuana was theirs and pleaded guilty during an Aug. 11 hearing to misdemeanor possession, District Attorney Clark Everett said. Each of the three paid a $1,000 fine and court costs. “The magistrate or someone at that office must have misread the statute. We discovered the error maybe two hours after Thomaz paid the bondsman’s premium and left. Because of that, it was a high price he paid for bringing the drug onto the campus. Had he remained to discover the error, he would not have been bonded so high, probably $1,000,” District Attorney Clark Everett said. (Reflector)
