Wiz Khalifa Counts Down The Days ‘Til His Son Can Smoke [Video]

Marijuana enthusiast Wiz Khalifa recently talked about welcoming new life into the world and why he will be more than willing to share his love for the herbal drug once his son is old enough.

In Khalifa’s opinion, weed will be the least of his son’s worries once he is old enough to smoke.

“[We’ll smoke together] when he’s old enough, if it’s legal. I’m not planning on doing it while he’s a baby. I put out a picture of him in some weed socks and people started tripping, like I’ma be smoking weed with him — he’s not gonna smoke until if he makes those decisions himself, but weed’s not that bad so it’s all good. … It helps more than it hurts. I’d rather him be smoking weed than drinking alcohol.” (“Street Sweepers Radio”)

Back in December, Wiz admitted he had no plans of smoking around his newborn.

“I think it’s all about how you’re raised with it,” the Rolling Papers rapper said. “Before there was a much more negative outtake on it. You know, pot and what it can do, and the effects of it. Of course. I’m not going to be smoking right there over the baby, because smoke in general and being high is not good for a kid. None of that. But definitely he’s going to know what it is–and he’ll know the difference between being a child and not being able to use it and being an adult and knowing how to use it.” (E! Online)

His fiancée Amber Rose likened Wiz’s usage of marijuana to people consuming alcohol on a regular basis.

Added Rose, who’s well into her third trimester (and who sweetly held hands with her man throughout the interview): “It’s just like alcohol, basically. That’s how I feel about it, you know. When you’re a kid, you know that you’re not supposed to drink alcohol, that it’s for adults and that’s it” (E! Online)

Last year, the rapper revealed Rose’s stance on his smoking.

“[Weed smoking?] She’s like, ‘Get it away.’ She doesn’t hate it, but she will not do it. She’ll roll it, she loves how it smells. She just doesn’t want to get high ’cause she don’t want to feel that.” (Hot 97)
