Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa could not escape a brief run-in with police over the weekend scot-free, getting busted for a traffic violation in California.
According to reports, Khalifa’s decision to hit the road without a seatbelt ultimately cost him.
Wiz Khalifa learned two important lessons last night: 1) Always wear your seatbelt 2) Being famous doesn’t get you out of a ticket TMZ spotted the rapper inside of his brand new $100k Porsche 911 Carrera S … moments after he was pulled over by a cop for not buckling up … a violation in the state of California. Despite getting recognized by the officer, Wiz still rolled away with a fine.
Wiz — who spent his day at a baby shower for his fiancee Amber Rose — was clearly bummed out during the stop … but turned to our camera and gave a message for his fans, “Make sure you guys wear your seatbelts.” During the stop, we asked the cop if he knew he pulled over a world famous rapper — to which he replied, “I know. I recognized him!” Still, he wrote up the ticket anyway … and told our photog, “Safety … safety.” (TMZ)
He spent the weekend alongside fiancée Amber Rose for their baby shower.
Rapper WIZ KHALIFA and his pregnant fiancee AMBER ROSE celebrated the impending arrival of their first child with a baby shower on Sunday (06Jan13). The model, who debuted her baby bump at the MTV Video Music Awards in September (12), is due to give birth this spring (13), and her friends rallied round to throw a bash in her honor. Rose donned a dress featuring rainbow-colored blocks and posted pictures from the party on her Twitter.com page, with one showing her surrounded by pals and blue balloons and another depicting Khalifa cupping her bulging belly affectionately. Rose also boasted about the quiet baby shower festivities on Twitter.
