With the “A History of Violence” album, you get to mostly hear me alone with creative control and not just a 15-bar verse per se when you hear me with D12. I’m able to showcase more of my songwriting abilities and skills. You get to hear me with creative control and alone.

This is definitely for the Derty Headz. That’s what we call our D12 fans. Our D12 fans have stuck by us through thick and thin, the ups and downs, this is for them. This is for all of the Derty Headz. This is for the appreciation for them.

If you’re a non-believer or think I don’t have the skill for a solo album or to be an emcee, period, I guarantee I will change your mind by the time you hear this project. If you’re a non-believer or a hater or think I don’t have incredible skills, this is going to change your mind.

I’ve evolved as an artist. You’ll be able to hear that as opposed to how you would hear me on a D12 project. You just hear me and my growth. Period. You’re going to hear a lot of growth from me.

Proof always believed in me. Big Proof always believed in me and he always wanted me to do solo stuff. He always believed in me and thought I was one of the best he heard. I just want to make Big Proof proud. He always called me Neo. It’s pretty much a dedication to him.
