According to Big Boi, guest collaborations and an upcoming joint album are all in the works.

The former OutKast member has been busy–even with his leg in a brace–collaborating with just about every artist under the sun, besides Andre 3000. “I’m recording a lot right now,” Big Boi reveals, “working with Janelle Monae on her new record that’s coming out, which is going to be one of the dopest album’s of the year… believe that. I’m doing a remix of ‘Electric Lady’ with Cee-Lo Green [for Monae].” As for his own next offering, Daddy Fat Sax says, “I’m about to do a big collaboration album with Phantogram. We just started production on that. I got a lot of big surprises coming up.” While some surprises are best left unsaid, Big Boi spills he’s gearing up to shoot three more videos from his Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors album. “I’m about to shoot the video for ‘Raspberries.’ [featuring Mouche and Scar], gonna do the video with Little Dragon for ‘Descending’ and maybe one for ‘Tremendous Damage’ [featuring Bosko].” (VIBE)

Over the weekend, Andre 3000’s representative said his long-awaited solo LP was not yet penciled in despite previous reports.

3000, unlike is his ‘Kast mate Big Boi, has not released a solo album. Since Outkast’s 2006 soundrack album for “Idlewild,” Andre has only rapped sporadically as a featured guest on songs like Beyonce’s “Party” and Drake’s “The Real Her.” But not so fast, 3K fans. True as Stephen G. Hill‘s ATLien encounter may be, nothing’s set in stone. Billboard reached out to Andre’s publicist, who says nothing is for certain on the album front. “Regarding reports of a specific plan to release an album in early 2014,” the rep says, “There is no official confirmation on that report.” That statement doesn’t completely nix the potential of an Andre 3000 album in 2014. It just means it’s not locked in. (Billboard)

Buzz courtesy of BET executive Stephen G. Hill about Andre putting together a new LP surfaced Saturday.

André 3000 is finally ready. Fans have waited patiently and it looks like the OutKast member is ready to deliver a new project soon. Stephen G. Hill, President of Music Programming and Specials for BET Networks, ran into 3 Stacks backstage at Lil’ Wayne and T.I.‘s “America’s Most Wanted Tour” stop in Washington D.C. on Friday night. During their breif conversation, Hill reveals the ATLien told him a new solo album will arrive early 2014. “Me: hey what’s up? You got the movie coming, right? Andre 3000: yeah…and I got a solo album coming top of the year. Me: *droptofloor*” (Miss Info TV)

In early 2012, Andre explained his disinterest in rushing out a reunion OutKast LP.

“There’s been a lot of talk on the Internet about an OutKast album and I have to say that as of now, there are no plans for another OutKast album. There’s a lot of music on the horizon. I’ve been living off the excitement of new artists. I’ve been privileged to have these new artists kind of reach out and grab back and say, “Hey, Andre, we want you on this song.” So I’ve been taking those calls and for the last two years, I’ve been doing collaborations. So these new artists have kind of been keeping me alive. I’ve just really been feeding off of that and this year I think I’m planning to do a solo project. I don’t know when it will come out, but hopefully it’ll come out this year. As far as OutKast, I really don’t know if or when that will happen.” (GQ)
