G-Unit boss 50 Cent has plenty to be happy about this week as reports claim his hit “Power” television series will return for at least two more seasons.

According to reports, premium network Starz green lit the series to go well beyond its current third season.

“Power” received quite a gift on Tuesday, with Starz ordering two more seasons of the drama series, TheWrap has learned. This is the first multi-season pickup for the New York-based drama starring Omari Hardwick. Creator, executive producer and showrunner Courtney A. Kemp will return alongside executive producers Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (who also plays Kanan), Mark Canton, Randall Emmett and Gary Lennon. The show is also produced by G-Unit Films and Television, Jackson’s production company. (The Wrap)

This week, 50 Cent reacted to “Power” raking in record-breaking ratings for its season opener.

According to a Starz press release, Fif’s must-see show brought in millions of viewers Sunday (July 17) evening.

2.26 Million Live+SD viewers gave the third season premiere episode of “Power” a new STARZ viewership record, with the July 17 9PM ET/PT airing, the most ever for a STARZ Original series.

Starz head Chris Albrecht has already reacted to Sunday night’s record-breaking performance.

“We are thrilled ‘Power’ continues to be a force in its third season with this record setting performance – something very few shows ever achieve. We are proud to say the show is must-watch TV and has helped to establish STARZ as a Sunday destination for viewers.” (Statement)
