According to reports, G-Unit’s 50 Cent came to pick up his longtime friend in Las Vegas.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is officially a free man — the boxing champ was all smiles when he was released early Friday morning from a Vegas jail, where he served roughly 2 months of his 3-month sentence for domestic violence. A spokesperson for the LVPD said Mayweather was being released early for good behavior behind bars. Yesterday, reports emerged online which suggested Mayweather would be released today.

RumorFix has learned that boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. will be released from a Las Vegas Jail on Friday, a full month earlier than his scheduled release. The undefeated boxer surrendered to authorities on June 1 after being ordered to serve three month behind bars for his involvement in a domestic battery case. Mayweather pled guilty in December to misdemeanor charges stemming from a September 2010 scuffle with his girlfriend, Josie Harris, while two of their children watched. Mayweather, 35, was granted time off of his 90-day sentence for good behavior. And if you check the Las Vegas Police Department website, it confirms that the 35-year-old boxer will be released on August 3. (RumorFix)

Prior to the boxing champ’s release, 50 Cent talked about Mayweather’s jail woes in June.

The G-Unit CEO, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, also gave an update on his friend Floyd Mayweather, who is currently serving a three-month sentence for domestic battery of an ex-girlfriend in front of their two children. “He’s not doing good right now,” said 50. “He only been out seven hours since he been in there. They doin’ everything to make this difficult.” Right before Mayweather began his sentence last month, Fif told MTV News that the boxer has a deep connection with music. “Floyd has a huge passion for music that people don’t know about,” 50 explained. “It’s a big part of what makes him comfortable and takes his mind off of how hard he has to work to stay being the #1 fighter in the world.” (MTV)

A couple months ago, Money Mayweather lost a bout to have his jail sentenced reduced to house arrest.

Mayweather’s legal team told the court this week that his personal physician, Dr. Robert Voy, visited the jail Friday and determined the fighter had lost muscle tone. Voy estimated Mayweather was consuming fewer than 800 calories a day instead of his usual 3,000 or 4,000 calories. Mayweather also wasn’t drinking enough because he wasn’t allowed bottled water and doesn’t enjoy tap water. (Associated Press)
