Explaining how his production company became involved with the joint effort, Simmonds said Jay and Ye fell in love with the music he created.

“I got a production company called The Juggernauts and it’s me and my partner and we actually have two records on the Watch The Throne album that’s coming out in August,” Verse told SOHH. “We ended up working on the album because the person I’m actually signed to is actually A&R of the project and we were lucky enough to submit records to them that they really, really loved. So we got on the album that way. They actually heard the song and wanted to make it a part of their classic album they’ve been putting together for the last year and a half. So that’s really how it came about.” (SOHH)

Simmonds also said fans can also anticipate his signature touch applied to Jay’s upcoming Blueprint III solo album follow-up.

“We also have another record of ours which is actually going to be on Jay’s next [solo] album coming out later on this year,” Simmonds added. “I’m super excited [about it coming out] because we’ve all been watching and seeing Jay-Z and Kanye and hearing what they’re doing and the classic music they’re doing. So to be a part of it and for me to be a part of the album that they’re getting ready to put out together for the first time, that’s like a dream come true.” (SOHH)

This week, Jay and Yeezy offiically formed a supergroup, dubbing themselves The Throne.

A week after debuting their new single, “Otis”, off “Watch the Throne,” Jay-Z and Kanye West are joining forces to form the group ‘The Throne’ and announce their ‘Watch the Throne Tour,’ kicking off on Sept. 22, in Detroit. “Watch the Throne” will be available on iTunes on August 8. On the same day, tickets for The Throne’s tour, powered by VoyR, will be made available at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com. Fans who purchase their tickets online will receive a digital copy of the album. The album hits stores on Aug. 12. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Last week, a Watch the Throne mini-documentary landed online.

“Kanye, I’ve seen him, he’s really like a brother to me,” Jay says in the documentary. “I’ve seen him from the beginning to where he is now and to see him as a producer and how he’s grown as a producer and an artist, for me, on another level, it’s enjoyable. I’m watching the guy I pretty much mentored become his own guy with his own opinion, it’s fantastic.” (“Watch the Throne” Mini-Doc)
