According to reports, JT set the stage Saturday (March 9) night with a jab toward “dramatic” rappers.

We’ve seen Justin TImberlake perform his comeback single “Suit & Tie” with Jay-Z during Super Bowl weekend, at the Grammys, and tonight, they teamed up to perform it on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live. But in this performance, it sounds like Justin took the opportunity to respond to Kanye West’s “Suit & Tie” on-stage diss, changing his original song lyric, “Sh*t so sick/Got a hit and picked up a habit,” to, “My hits so sick/Got rappers acting dramatic.” Pretty slick comeback, JT. The so-called response has some bloggers wondering if Ye will take the time to lash back.

However, it seems as though Justin Timberlake has now responded to that diss, in the slickest way possible. Much like Taylor Swift humiliating ex-boyfriend Harry Styles by imitating his British accent while performing on stage, JT threw in his reply through his song lyrics. When performing ‘Suit & Tie’ last night, Justin changed his original lyrics, “Sh*t so sick/Got a hit and picked up a habit” to “My hits so sick/Got rappers acting dramatic.” Justin’s no stranger to controversy, of course, but this seems to have been the easiest way to respond to Kanye’s diss without making a bigger issue out of it. Will Kanye respond to this? Knowing him, it’s very likely he does respond, but it won’t be in the way JT has, but rather in a public speech surrounded by cameras. (Fans Share)

In a corporate-based rant last month, Yeezy used Justin and longtime friend Jay-Z’s “Suit & Tie.”

“Creativity fuels everything. I hate business people. People get on the phone with me and talk to me, you know, like, ‘What kind of business can it do, though? What type of business are you doing? What’s the numbers? How many did you sell? What’s the radio spins? How much shampoo do you sell with your face on it and sh*t?’ Remind, remind me again why we in this sh*t. Remind me again why we in this sh*t. Make it even more mellow, maybe even just the chorus — remind me again why the Grammys can suck my d*ck, remind me again who’s the original super fly/And I got love for Hov but I ain’t f*ckin’ with that ‘Suit & Tie’/Remind me again, remind me again why we in this sh*t/Remind me again, remind me again why we in this sh*t…” (YouTube)

Recently, former Dirty Money singer Dawn Richard hit up SOHH with her reaction to Timberlake coming back to take over the music game.

“I think it’s legendary and the reason why I say that is because he’s managed to rest and take a break in such a way where he was successful in something completely different. He created a craft in acting, really was successful in that and then to be able to come back in such a way, and do it in such a classy way, the way he did it, that’s legendary in itself,” Dawn told SOHH, referring to JT. “He did it in a way where you weren’t oversaturated, which was perfect. You stay out the game and then came back with a new sound, a new plan and you can always respect someone who has a plan like that.” (SOHH)
