Fans of HBO's "Entourage" are going to have to wait until next year to see where the four-member crew's journey continues in its long-awaited big screen release.
According to reports, the new Entourage movie is slated to premiere at theaters in June 2015.
With production under way, Warner Bros. has set a release date for its “Entourage” movie of June 12, 2015. Based on the HBO show, the film includes the original cast of Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Jeremy Piven. Billy Bob Thornton and Haley Joel Osment also star as a father and son while returning cast members also include Perrey Reeves, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Rhys Coiro. (Variety)
Former G.O.O.D. Music member Kid Cudi will take on the role of main character Ari Gold’s assistant.
EXCLUSIVE: Warner Bros is just getting underway with the movie version of the hit HBO series Entourage. You know from the series that Ari Gold’s long-suffering assistant Lloyd has moved up to rep. So Ari has found a new assistant, and that role will be played by Scott Mescudi, who is better known in hip-hop circles as Kid Cudi. Mescudi is about to open opposite Aaron Paul in the DreamWorks vidgame adaptation Need For Speed, and he just wrapped the films James White and Two Night Stand. (Deadline)
Last month, executive producer Mark Wahlberg confirmed the movie would hit the big screen.
Mark Wahlberg, returning to “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” 21 years after his first appearance on the program with his former rap group, Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, confirmed last night that the highly anticipated “Entourage” movie is officially moving forward. “We’re going to shoot a couple of days this month and come back in April and finish the movie and hopefully it will be ready for the fall,” he added. Cast member Jerry Ferrara previously took to Twitter to announce the long-awaited reunion.
